When a padafinal stop is before any nasal, the stop gets noseleak by yaronunAs.... In more detail —

before J ञ् m म् G ङ् N ण् n न्,

k क् g ग् → G ङ्
T ट् D ड् → N ण्
t त् d द् → n न्

This yaronunAs... rule, makes a stop keeps tongue position and get noseleak. There is another rule, anusvArasy..., that makes a final m म् keep noseleak and change tongue position — see mC.
