@separation sign

In this website I use a special symbol :: wherever two vowels come next to each other. Two vowels next to each other are always in different syllables, that is, in hiatus.

The symbol does not appear in indian letters because it is not necessary there.

Some examples —

Inside a word:

tita::u तित‌उ "sieve"

In a compound:

mana::-icchA मन‌ॱइच्छा "mind-desire"

Between words:

arjuna:: uvAca अर्जुन‌ उवाच "arjuna said"
