@sup rule tables

These tables allow you to find the rules that are involved when adding /sup after a noun.

Example. Suppose that you know that arjuna- + /TA makes arjunena , or that vRkSa- + /bhis makes vRkSais , but you don't know what rules are involved.

Most often you can find that out by followingthe DERIV link on top and searching there for ais -enders or ena -enders.

If that fails, you can do this —

look up /su in the sup rule finder sorted by sup,
or look up arjuna in the sup rule finder sorted by nounbase,
or look up arjunas sup rule finder sorted by result.

You can find more examples of those rules at

sup rule finder sorted by rule.

If you do not find arjuna- + /TAarjunas there, well, azva + /TA makes azvena , so look for things that ends in ena or in a- .

Another idea is looking at the "deriv" link on top of this page and find things that end with "ena." or "ais."
