The /zatR of /asti is "sat- सत्", feminine satI- सतीॱ. It is used in commentaries to clarify that a word is being used as a descriptive. So when a verse has —

adhomukhI | lIlA-kamala-patrANi gaNayAm Asa pArvatI || "face-down pArvatI counted play-lotus-petals

the commentator might clarify that the word adhomukhI "face-down" describes the word pArvatI in the next verse by saying something like —

pArvaty adhomukhI satI . . .
pArvatI , *while she was* looking down, (counted play-lotus-petals, that is, she played with a lotus to fake being distracted, because of bashfulness).
