In the /laG tense, the verbbase gets an a prefix by luGlaGlRGkSvaD....

In the /laG, the root takes /aT or /AT, by luGlaGlRGkSvaD... or ADajAdInAm

pac पच् → **apaca- अपचॱ

IkS ईक्ष् → **aikSa- ऐक्षॱ

/asAs- आस्, as in **AsIt आसीत्

As आस् "sit" → As'- आस्ऽॱ , as in Asta आस्त "he sat" (not same as Asa आस "he was", from /as + /liT)

The /laG does not get the same endings as the /laT.

Examples of verbs with flat laG endings —

→ **akaru- अकरुॱ + /tip

Bit annoyingly, when a verb can get both flat and bent, the flat /ta''' (replacement of /tha " you''' ") sounds the same as the bent /ta ("he") —

dviS द्विष् + /laG /thaadviS अद्विष् + /ta'''!**adviSTa अद्विष्ट "y'all hate (flat)"

dviS द्विष् + /laG /ta!**adviSTa' अद्विष्टऽ "he hates (bent)"
